Camelot Group is an affiliated group of the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) based in and around Yeovil, South Somerset. The membership currently numbers just under 100.

The Group prepares drivers for the IAM Advanced Driviing Test by giving practical advice in a series of drives. It also offers a one-off assessment of driving skills via DriveCheck.

To be a full member of Camelot, you must belong to the IAM, which requires you to have passed the Advanced Test. In addition, there is Associate Membership to accommodate drivers preparing for the test. Associate Members are also welcome at the monthly social meetings. By taking the Advanced Test, members of the group share a common concern for road safety. Curiously, although our roads are some of the safest in Europe, the number of children being killed or seriously injured each year in Britain is higher than most. We hope you are as concerned about these sorts of issues as we are. Many people don't realise that records show that the majority of road "accidents" are not accidental at all - many could have been avoided if the drivers involved had been driving better by paying full attention to the prevailing road conditions and had adjusted their driving appropriately, anticipating the possible hazards around them.
