HEADLINE: January newsletter available for download. Click here.

MG RoadsterThis web site will introduce you to the Camelot IAM local group based around Yeovil, Somerset in the South West of England. Using the links on the left (which you'll find on all our pages) you can find out what our aims are, what we do, how we can help you and how to contact us.

First and foremost, Camelot group is here to help you become a better driver, whether you took your L test recently or 50 years ago. We will help you at your pace, showing you driving techniques taught to Police Response drivers. The cost is kept low because those who help you are all volunteers. Statistics show that drivers who have passed the Advanced Test of the IAM are 50-70% less likely to be involved in an accident. Don't you owe it to yourself, your passengers and other road users to play your part in improving road safety?

If you work your way down the links on the left in order, most of your questions about us should be answered. You might enjoy starting with the Highway Code quiz, which will check how up to date your knowledge is for a few common driving situations.

The group regularly publishes a newsletter. You can read the two most recent copies by clicking here or following the Group Newsletters link on the left.

If you enjoy a good story, try reading Brian's Adventure and find out what some group members get up to in their spare time. It was published in two editions of previous Camelot Group newsletters.

As you visit each page, it is highlighted on the left in yellow (like Welcome at the top) so you can see where you are.

If you are using Internet Explorer 5 or 6 and you prefer to browse this site offline to save your phone bill, you can do so by adding it to your Favourites with the Make available offline option set and Customise to Download pages 1 links deep from this page. That will get all the pages you need excluding the newsletters - it is not a big download.

These pages display best in an 800x600 screen or window although larger sizes also work. If you encounter any problems with them, or have comments on their layout or content, please email the webmaster at
